February is Black History Month. President Ford officially recognized Black History Month in 1976. Since then a lot has changed when it comes to race relations. Jimmy thought that might be a good area for tonight’s Pedestrian Question. So we went out onto Hollywood Boulevard and asked people “Do You Have a Black Friend?” #PedestrianQuestion

      Who’s Chuck?

    • Noirluv45

princessd, he’s the guy in the video who claimed he had Black friends, but he couldn’t name one. LOL.

  • Love.tweet.joi

Turning into bitter black woman over here. I’m just gonna, um, go.
*pulls up a chair and waits for someone else to say something*

      But y?

    • Love.tweet.joi

Okay, I got irritated because the White men clearly had no Black friends (which was fine). The Black guy flat out admitted he didn’t have any White friends (in a way that was a little offensive but he’s just being honest). Finally, why all the White girls immediately imply that by Black friends, they meant Black d***. Even the Australian does this think with her eyebrows like she wants the Black d*** too. Those aren’t friends! Tyrone is not a friend. IMO.

    • Taz

If Tyrone aint complaining neither am I. Lol, live and let live ✌️

    • Love.tweet.joi

You’re right. LOL. Becky’s happy too.

    • Azul Aurora

Exactly…lol. I don’t know why some black women have this protective instinct over grown black men. Black men are men, and can certainly protect themselves from white women. Black men never complain that they’re seen as mandingo black buck/walking dildos by white women.

There have been studies about how white people will call people who are really just co-workers or acquaintances “friends” when asked about black friends. I guess adding sex partners to the list of non-friend friends makes sense from that perspective.

Nice video! Funny twist with the black guy.

  • Who want to be friends with a race of people who constantly beg other race of people for friendship but don’t want true friendship and love with each other? Think about it!

    • Sheik Yerbouti

The whole race Bush? Really? SMH

    • no not the whole race!

  • Azul Aurora

I remember when the study came out revealing that most white people have no black friends. I yawned and thought, “next.” I mean, my husband is white, but I don’t feel validated by having white people like and befriend me. What kind of foolishness is that? It’s a pathetic mentality. I’m already fabulous on my own lol. I didn’t watch the video.

White hipster liberal social justice warriors keep conducting this silly “black friend” study on a non-issue, probably seeking a round of applause when they walk in with a token black friend. There are actual important issues for black individuals to be focused on.

White people make up 70% of the U.S. population, so there aren’t enough “black friends” to go around. We should create a Black Friend Service so that each white person who claims to have a black friend as a lifeline during one of those awkward, racially questionable moments can now have a black friend to call upon when needed (just joking).
