A makeshift memorial for Michael Brown has been removed, to make way for a permanent plaque the will be installed. After Brown was fatally shot by Darren Wilson on Aug. 9, thousands of people embarked on the site and left candles, flowers and stuffed animals. Now that those items have been removed, they will be stored by the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.
“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my son,” said Michael Brown Sr., his father. “We’re just really trying to move forward.”
The new plaque will be installed on Thursday.
