On Monday’s broadcast of Fox & Friends, Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked Black Conservative pundit Kevin Jackson why hasn’t the Black Lives Matter movement been classified as a hate group.
Hasselbeck and co-host Brian Kilmeade attempted to link the killing of a Houston Sheriff’s deputy to the Black Lives Matter movement after a small group of demonstrators at the Minnesota State Fair chanted about “pigs in a blanket” during the massive #BlackFair protest that took place over the weekend.
“Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified yet as a hate group?” Hasselbeck wondered. “I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?”
Despite the fact that Black Lives Matter has repeatedly denounced violence, organized scores of peaceful protests around the nation, and called on politicians to institute policies that put an end to inequalities Black Americans face, Jackson agreed the movement, which he also called “mostly nonsense,” should be deemed a hate group.
“Well they should do it, but unfortunately it’s being financed by the leftists. Ironically it’s people who have nothing, really no concern at all about black lives. People like George Soros,” he said.
Now that Hasselbeck wants Black Lives Matter to be classified as a hate group, I wonder if she’ll also call for the Republican Party–which is currently disparaging immigrants, people of color, and the LGBT community–to be added to the list next?
I won’t hold my breath.
