At least 7 to 10 people have been confirmed dead and at least 20 others injured after Thursday afternoon’s shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.

While the story is still developing, Ellen Rosenbloom, Oregon’s Attorney General, told Brian Williams on MSNBC the suspect has been “neutralized” and is deceased. Both local and federal law enforcement officers are involved in the investigation.

UCC students and faculty have been bused to the Roseburg fairgrounds as emergency teams are still tending to the victims.

Several UCC students have taken to social media to share their accounts of the tragic events.

The UCC shooting is the 45th mass school shooting in 2015, and the 142 mass shooting since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012.

As a final count of victims is revealed, this shooting will no doubt prompt yet another discussion on gun control in the U.S.
