Keke Palmer recently turned up the heat on us a few weeks back with her steamy music video for “I Don’t Belong To You.” A clip from the sultry R&B production features the Scream Queens star in various states of undress as she sings about keeping a relationship on the down low. She argues with the guy she’s seeing before showering and ending up on the doorstep of a woman, played by Cassie.

Since then folks have been bombarding her with questions about her sexuality, wondering if they should take that video as a hint that Keke might be gay or bisexual.

“I don’t feel the need to define nothin’ to nobody, because I’m always changing,” she told People. “Why say that I’m this or that when I might not be tomorrow?”

She then went on to address the music video:

“The video was to represent the young woman today — it’s not the traditional woman anymore — and not the specifics of ‘Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi?’” she added. “I’m making the rules for myself, and I don’t have to be stuck down to one label. I’m gonna follow my own feelings and my own heart.”

What do you think of Keke’s response to the speculations? Check out the video and let us know!

Let me guess. She’s willing to go gay for pay. Another one bites the dust…

      It’s sad isn’t it.

They make a video knowing good and well SOME people are going to question her sexuality, but then act indignant when people ask. No, it’s none of our business, and no, many people couldn’t give rat’s behind if she slept with a martian, but they want to make it our business; thus, creating a fake controversy.

P.S. Keke, there are traditional young women today. SMH. #brainwashed

Exactly! If you don’t want to discuss something don’t bring it up. If you make a music video don’t act indignant when someone asks you about something you decided to portray in the video. I’m really over people making generalizations about everyone (especially women) based on their own lives. As if there are no traditional young women just because she and her friends are “experimenting.” You are right about the brainwashing.

Ditto! Girl, it’s clear as day. I know it was only a matter of time that they would start to poison Keke. That’s Hollyweird for ya.

I didn’t want to say it but they got her now. I hope she doesn’t keep selling her soul to acquire success.

I know right I just shook my head at that statement that is not all the young women today, there traditional young women as well. I don’t think she thought that out very well.

When Amy Schumer hosted SNL, she told a joke: “We used to have Khloe [Kardashian].” That was my feeling as I listened to the song and watched the video. “Dang, we used to have Keke.”

This is such a cheap and lazy device for creativity. Just my two cents.
