Ever take a selfie multiple times looking for just the right one to post to Instagram? Well, an Ohio man took things to a whole new level after he noticed police were circulating a “terrible” picture along with a warrant for his arrest.
Donald “Chip” Pugh came across his mugshot on the Lima Police Department Facebook page after failing to appear in court for several charges, including arson and vandalism. However, instead of turning himself in, Pugh sent police a picture of himself sitting in the car with the message, “Here is a better photo, that one is terrible.”
In an interview with a local radio station, Pugh said Lima police “just did [him] wrong.”
“They put a picture out that made me look like I was a Thundercat… or James Brown on the run,” he explained. “I can’t do that.”
Apparently, Pugh can’t bother to answer for his alleged crimes either. The 45-year-old still hasn’t turned himself into police, but Lima law enforcement officials thank him for wanting to put his best face forward.
“We thank [Pugh] for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the [station] about his charges,” they wrote in reply to his shared photo.
So far, he’s still on the loose.
