Baton Rouge Police fatally shot a father of five outside a convenience store in Louisiana, and once again, the incident was caught on cellphone video.

The video, which circulated Tuesday evening online, shows Alton Sterling, being shot while he was pinned down by police.

Police arrived at the store after responding to a call early Tuesday about a black selling CDs in front of the store and allegedly threatening people with a gun.

Officers eventually ended up in a struggle with Sterling as they wrestled him to the ground. He was then shot and died at the scene.

Two officers have been placed on administration leave “per standard procedure,” it added, saying the investigation was ongoing.

Background voices were heard saying “oh my God” and “They shot him?” and “They killed this boy.”

Congressman Cedric Richmond issued a statement in regards to Sterling’s murder.

“The video footage released today of the shooting of Alton Sterling … was deeply troubling and has understandably evoked strong emotion and anger in our community,” Richmond said. “I share in this anger
and join the community in the pursuit of justice.”

Richmond also called for the U.S. Department of Justice to conduct an investigation — and for protests to
be conducted “with dignity.”
