Cori Broadus, the 17-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus, is finally embracing her beauty. The teen grew up “despising” her skin color due to the messages she was getting from society.
I can finally say I'm comfortable in my own skin, grew up despising the skin tone I was in because it's been bashed on for so long & society has been putting in our heads that dark is ugly. For all you beautiful chocolate girls/ women out there you're BEAUTIFUL & don't let anyone tell you different. – Cori B ❤️
Cori is currently pursuing a singing career and not only has she been able to move past what society dictates is beautiful, but she’s maintained strength and resilience throughout her long battle with lupus.
“She’s the toughest little thing I’ve ever met,” he said. “She’s on the honor roll, playing volleyball and softball, living life. She has all this joy. In the beginning lupus was winning. But now Cori is,” Snoop told PEOPLE of his daughter.
Shout out to this beauty separating reality from sheer ignorance.
